I purchased this book for myself and loved it enough to review it!
R. J. Larson. King does not disappoint while R. J. Larson does a tremendous job wrapping up the story lines of the characters and bringing a sense of closure from Prophet and Judge, the first two books in the series, even though I wanted to continue my journey with the cast from this trilogy!
“Restore My Temple”
In this story, we join Akabe Garric, king of Siphra as he receives the calling from the Infinite to rebuild the temple. Akabe is hindered by a powerful family, the Thaenfalls, who worship the false god, Atea.
The Thaenfalls happen to have the rights to the temple grounds and the devious power play they engage in as they work to manipulate Akabe reach new heights as they insist that Akabe marry into their family, placing a Thaenfall on the throne in Siphra.
Akabe, accompanied by Kien Lantec and Ela Roeh, Prophet of Parne, and joined by Caitria Thaenfall face insurmountable difficulties as the powers that oppose them both physically and spiritually wage war against them.
Will Akabe give in to their demands to realize his vision of rebuilding Siphra’s temple? Will the Theanfalls succeed in their plot to overthrow Akabe?
Trials, Rejection, Deception and Suspense
The story of King contains strong, well developed characters, each of which the reader travels with as they face their own challenges alone and as a group.
From Kien’s heartbreaking trials in his homeland to Akabe’s wrestling with potential compromise to Caitria’s presumed allegiance to her childhood and familial pagan god to deception within Siphra’s royal court, there is no shortage of excitement within the pages of King!
There are lies, kidnappings, deception, rejection, intrigue and suspense along with adventure, battles, personal struggles and spiritual journeys that really hook you into turning pages because you’ll desire to see how your favorite characters will fare. R. J. Larson masterfully ties the cast and the plots from all three books in the Books of the Infinite series.
King, Books of the Infinite #3
As with the other books in this trilogy, King has such appeal that it becomes difficult to limit the audience!
Though the Books of the Infinite are fantasy, these stories are for anyone who enjoys vivid characters, riveting adventure, and thrilling suspense.
I found it easy to relate to the cast of this series as they wrestle with the same things that hinder our own lives. I’m confident that you’ll love the time you spend in their lands and in their tales.
